Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their Technical Services team in Cumbria. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across client sites to keep electrical and building services safe and operational.

Key tasks include fault‑finding, repairs of distribution boards and motors, and supporting HVAC and plumbing tasks. On-call duties and compliance with BS 7671 and Mitie standards are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation.
• 18th edition.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in electrical maintenance and fault-finding on client sites; nuclear sector experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical systems and building services.
• Fault-finding, diagnosis and repair of distribution boards, motors and pumps; manage building management systems and emergency lighting.
• Support mechanical tasks including HVAC systems, pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing and fabric works.
• Be part of the on-call rota and ensure compliance with BS 7671 and Mitie standards.
• Document progress and maintain accurate records of work.
