Job summary

Kingston Barnes Ltd in West Yorkshire is seeking a Mechanical Pump Fitter with a background in repairing centrifugal pumps to join our on-site team. You will dismantle, inspect, refurbish and test pump assemblies in the workshop and occasionally on site, ensuring quality and documentation.

The role requires hands-on mechanical fitting skills and experience with centrifugal pumps, plus the ability to work in a small team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• De-contamination of pump units prior to inspection.

• Mechanical measurement of components and critical dimensions.
• Electrical inspection of pumps.
• Assembly of pumps.
• Testing of pumps.
• Diesel pumpset repair and maintenance.
• Assisting within other departments when required.
• Collecting/delivering of pumps/equipment if required.

MECHANICAL PUMP FITTER IN WEST YORKSHIRE

The Role:

As a fitter you will be involved in dismantling, rebuilding and refurbishment of centrifugal pumps within the workshop and occasionally out in the field. You will be responsible for ensuring all inspection and assembly documentation is completed and procedures, policies and work instructions are followed.
