Associated Seafoods in Arbroath is hiring a Multi-skilled Engineer to provide electrical and mechanical engineering services to support manufacturing and operations. The role is full-time, on-site in Arbroath, with dayshift and backshift rotations and a 40-hour week.

The ideal candidate is a time-served engineer with an electrical or mechanical apprenticeship and a proactive mindset, ready to carry out preventative maintenance, respond to faults, and assist project work.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer with electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Problem-solving abilities and continuous improvement mindset.
• Self-motivated with methodical work approach and independence.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and high standards of work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance per the planned maintenance system.
• Respond to equipment faults and breakdowns as required.
• Plan access and record work using the Fixx system for food safety.
• Monitor and adjust site systems for optimal performance.
• Assist large projects such as installation and upgrades to lines or areas.
• Support training and development of engineers and apprentices.
• Uphold engineering standards to meet production needs.
• Collaborate with engineering supervisor and other teams to support operations.
