Ernest Gordon Recruitment is partnering with a leading Scottish food manufacturer in Forfar to recruit a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias. You will maintain production machinery, fault find electrical systems, and perform planned maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

The role offers £44,000–£46,000 (£52k OTE), progression, training, overtime, on-call allowance, and a site-based, free parking position with long-term career development.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plant, machinery and production equipment.
• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns with fault finding and repairs.
• Perform plant start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Rotating 2-week shifts: early 04:30–13:30, late 13:00–22:00.
• On-call one in four weekends with retainer pay.

Are you a Multi Skilled Engineer, with an electrical bias, looking to join a well-established food manufacturing company offering excellent overtime opportunities, on-call payments, and long-term career development?

On offer is the opportunity to join one of Scotland’s leading manufacturers, in the food industry. This company have recently been acquired by a major food corporation, providing them with a modern, state-of-the-art facility and stable future.

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of production machinery and electrical systems, carrying out fault finding, planned maintenance. In specific you will work on electrical control systems, invertor drives, relays and contactors, motors and sensors.

Working closely with production teams, contractors, and management, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the site. The role will mainly focus on electrical maintenance, but some mechanical knowledge is beneficial.

This role would suit a Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias and experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments.

The Role
