Job summary

NHS Property Services is seeking a dedicated electrician for a permanent field-based role across the South West region. The position involves working independently on NHS properties with on-call duties and driving to sites as required.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, practical maintenance experience, and strong fault-finding and communication skills to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality work across a wide site network.

Qualifications

• Practical experience within an electrical maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs across NHS properties
• Diagnose, fault-find and repair electrical systems and associated equipment
• Support statutory compliance requirements, inspections and testing activities
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate records of completed works and compliance activities
• Build positive working relationships with customers, contractors and colleagues
• Take part in the on-call rota and provide out-of-hours emergency response where required
• Contribute to team culture and continuous improvement activities
