Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an Electrical Technician to provide comprehensive electrical maintenance across its estate. You will perform planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and fault finding on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with HTMs and Trust policies.

Qualifications

• Experience of planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Experience of fault finding and repair of electrical systems.
• Experience in commercial, industrial or healthcare maintenance environments.
• Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
• Willingness to undertake CPD and training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, fault finding and reactive repairs across the Trust estate.
• Carry out electrical installation, alteration and improvement works in clinical and non-clinical areas in line with regulations and procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical regulations, HTMs, and Trust policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation using Trust systems.
• Liaise with Estates colleagues, contractors and service users to minimise disruption to clinical services.
• Respond to electrical emergencies to maintain continuity of services.
