Job summary

BRUSH Group is seeking a multiskilled electrical technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment in a heavy industrial environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, ensure safety protocols, and minimise downtime across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The role requires an electrical/multiskilled apprenticeship, NVQ3/ONC/City & Guilds, and at least four years of experience in a maintenance role. Hybrid working options are available where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Electrical/ Multiskilled apprenticeship completed.
• NVQ3, ONC or City & Guilds qualification obtained.
• Minimum four years’ experience in Electrical/ Multiskilled maintenance.
• Adheres to health and safety rules and safe systems of work.
• Adaptable and effective Electrical/ Multiskilled Technician.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform repairs on a wide range of equipment including vacuum plants and oil processing gear.
• Conduct emergency repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Execute routine maintenance schedules for optimal performance and compliance.
• Inspect equipment regularly for wear or malfunction.
• Install new equipment per manuals and safety guidelines.
• Assist with upgrading or retrofitting equipment to meet new needs.

What's the role?

To ensuring that equipment, machinery, and systems operate effectively and efficiently in the manufacturing and commercial environment. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical and other technical issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform repairs on a wide range of equipment, including Vacuum plants, Oil processing equipment, FLTs, Compressed air systems, Lighting and production machinery.
• Conduct emergency repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Execute routine maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance of equipment and legal compliance.
• Inspect equipment and systems regularly for signs of wear or malfunction.
• Install new equipment and systems according to technical manuals and safety guidelines.
• Assist with upgrading or retrofitting existing equipment to improve performance or meet new operational needs.

What We’re Looking For

• Electrical/ Multiskilled apprenticeship
• NVQ3, ONC or City & Guilds qualification
• A minimum of four year’s experience required in Electrical/ Multiskilled maintenance role
• Able to work with company’s rules and guidance notes on health and safety, including operation of safe systems of work in relation to high voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and work in a heavy industrial environment.
