Severn Trent is looking for a permanent Electrical Maintenance Technician to service sewage treatment works and pumping stations in the Redditch area. You will diagnose faults, test electrical systems, and perform safety assessments to maintain safe, reliable operations.

The role includes installation, servicing, and upkeep of essential equipment, with a 37-hour week and standby rota. A UK driving licence and recognised electrical qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Full Valid UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Level 3 Electrical qualification or time-served apprenticeship.
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification.
• BS 2391 Inspection & Testing certification.

We are looking for a permanent Electrical Maintenance Technician to join are team in the Redditch area!

You’ll play a vital part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems across the Redditch area on our sewage treatments works and sewage pumping stations. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, using a variety of testing equipment to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

A key focus of the position is maintaining high safety standards. You’ll carry out site safety inspections, electrical testing, and comprehensive safety assessments to ensure full compliance with regulations and best practices.

You’ll also support the ongoing operation of sewage treatment assets, undertaking routine proactive and reactive maintenance to optimise performance and minimise downtime. In addition, you’ll be involved in the installation, servicing, and upkeep of essential treatment equipment, contributing to the long‑term sustainability and reliability of site operations.

We will provide you with the tools and a vehicle to ensure you can do your job with us! With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Mon to Fri, with a standby rota (you will receive an allowance for this!).

To fulfil your role a Full Valid UK Drivers Licence is essential. A level 3 Electrical qualification/time served apprenticeship. an 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification and BS 2391 Inspection & Testing certification are essential requirements.
