Severn Trent in Redditch is seeking a permanent Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of electrical systems across sewage treatment works and pumping stations in the Redditch area. You will diagnose faults, carry out electrical testing, safety inspections, and routine preventive maintenance, with a focus on safety and reliability.

A full UK driving licence, Level 3 electrical qualification or time-served apprenticeship, 18th edition BS7671 and BS2391 are required.

We are looking for a permanent Electrical Maintenance Technician to join are team in the Redditch area! You'll play a vital part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems across the Redditch area on our sewage treatments works and sewage pumping stations. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, using a variety of testing equipment to identify issues and implement effective solutions. A key focus of the position is maintaining high safety standards. You'll carry out site safety inspections, electrical testing, and comprehensive safety assessments to ensure full compliance with regulations and best practices. You'll also support the ongoing operation of sewage treatment assets, undertaking routine proactive and reactive maintenance to optimise performance and minimise downtime. In addition, you'll be involved in the installation, servicing, and upkeep of essential treatment equipment, contributing to the long-term sustainability and reliability of site operations. We will provide you with the tools and a vehicle to ensure you can do your job with us! With this being such a critical role, we're looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Mon to Fri, with a standby rota (you will receive an allowance for this!).
