Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is looking for a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support Coleshill area. You will maintain pumps, motors, gearboxes and specialist systems, ensuring reliability and environmental compliance, across site operations.

You’ll work outdoors on varied plant machinery and contribute to pollution prevention and water quality. A driving licence is essential, and you’ll be based on the Coleshill patch with a provided vehicle and tools.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician covering the Coleshillarea to support the smooth operation of our critical wastewater treatment assets. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the daily upkeep, maintenance, and repair of heavy mechanical equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency across site operations, while playing a vital part in pollution prevention and protecting the quality of water within our systems.

You’ll work on a variety of plant machinery, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes, as well as specialist systems such as screw conveyors used to lift and transport water. A key part of your role will be maintaining essential infrastructure like scraper bridges within treatment tanks, helping to keep processes running safely, efficiently, and in line with environmental standards.

This is a practical, engaging role - perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in maintaining equipment to a high standard, and is motivated by making a real impact on environmental performance and clean water outcomes.

You’ll be based in ourin Coleshill patch, where you will be provided with a vehicle and tools so you can fulfil your role. This makes having a driving licence essential.

With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week. You will also take part in a standby rota(you will receive an additional allowance for this!).
