Job summary

Consortium Professional Recruitment is sourcing an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for an industrial/process plant based in the UK. The role covers preventative and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis on PLCs and instrumentation, and knowledge sharing within a close-knit team.

The position offers a dayshift, 40-hour week, with regular overtime on ongoing projects and growth opportunities within an expanding business.

Qualifications

Solid experience in electrical engineering within an industrial/process plant environment.
Strong skills in fault finding and working with control panels, PLCs, Variable Speed Drives and instrumentation.
Must have good Health and Safety Awareness.
A true team player and be able to work both alone and part of a small team.
The ability to work effectively in challenging conditions (odours, oil residues, corrosive environments).

Responsibilities

Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across plant machinery and equipment.
Diagnosing electrical faults, especially on PLC control systems and instrumentation.
Supporting the wider team by sharing expertise and upskilling junior engineers.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of PPM strategies and engineering projects.
Operating safely and responsibly in a demanding environment, with respect for safety standards and operational efficiency.
