Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Sheffield. The role involves carrying out PPMs on electrical systems, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs to minimise downtime on a static site.

You will be the on-site customer contact, ensuring high service standards and accurate documentation. We require strong fault-finding skills, the ability to work independently, and relevant electrical qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out electrical maintenance in industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance.
• Excellent fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in a customer‑facing role.
• Relevant electrical qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical faults and completing reactive maintenance efficiently.
• Performing repairs to minimise downtime and maintain site operations.
• Acting as the main customer contact on-site, providing excellent service and communication.
• Completing maintenance records and ensuring all documentation is up to date.
• Working safely and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Taking ownership of a static site and managing your workload independently
