Job summary

Electrical Maintenance Engineer role in Leicester offering £55,000–£58,000 plus bonus and 15% pension. Work on a large heavy industrial site with 4 on 4 off days and nights.

The successful candidate will perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated production equipment, troubleshoot Siemens S7 PLCs, and support site reliability initiatives. The role requires an recognised electrical engineering qualification and strong fault-finding skills in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical engineering qualification is required.
• Experience with heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
• Experience with automation and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance across a heavy industrial production facility.
• Electrical fault finding on automated machinery and plant equipment.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical control panels.
• PLC fault finding, with a particular focus on Siemens S7 systems.
• Supporting site reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Minimising downtime and maximising plant performance.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with engineering standards.
