Venatu Consulting Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a PLC/Automation focus for a North Lincolnshire-based site. The role offers a salary of £39,000–£43,000, a 4-on/4-off days shift (5:30am–4:00pm), and involves supporting automated production equipment with PLCs from Allen Bradley, Siemens and Schneider.

You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and work closely with engineering and production teams to improve reliability and downtime.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong electrical maintenance background in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Experience working with PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider).
• Experience with inverters/variable speed drives, motors and electrical control systems.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a reactive maintenance environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Independent and proactive problem solver with a focus on reliability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production and automation equipment.
• Provide rapid response to electrical faults and breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Perform electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on automated machinery.
• Work with PLC-controlled systems including fault finding on Allen Bradley, Siemens and Schneider PLCs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot inverters / variable speed drives (VSDs) and motors.
• Diagnose faults across input/output sensors and control circuits.
• Record maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures when working on electrical systems.

Location: Barton-upon-Humber
Salary: £39,000 – £43,000

A recruiter is currently working with a well-established manufacturing business in North Linconshire to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the performance and reliability of automated production equipment. This role would suit an engineer with a strong electrical bias and experience working with PLC-controlled machinery and industrial automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and automation equipment.
• Provide a rapid response to electrical faults and breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Perform electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on automated machinery.
• Work with PLC-controlled systems, including fault finding and diagnostics on:
• Allen Bradley PLCs
• Siemens PLCs
• Schneider PLCs
• Maintain and troubleshoot inverters / variable speed drives (VSDs).
• Diagnose faults across input and output systems, sensors, and control circuits.
• Maintain and repair electric motors and associated drive systems.
• Support the maintenance and reliability of automated production lines and CNC equipment.
• Record all maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed when working on electrical systems and equipment.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to maintain efficient factory operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong electrical maintenance background within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience working with PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider).
• Experience with inverters / variable speed drives, motors, and electrical control systems.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is desirable.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
