Job summary

Brett Group is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the Days maintenance team. You will perform planned maintenance on electrical/control systems, diagnose faults, and support condition monitoring to maximise uptime and reliability.

The role requires an apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering with NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement within a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completed in Electrical Engineering with recognized NVQ/EG.
• NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition (IET Wiring Regulations) are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on electrical/control systems to ensure reliability.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Inspect and service motors, drives, PLCs, panels and sensors.
• Support condition monitoring activities (thermography, insulation testing, vibration).
• Assist with electrical installation, testing, and inspection per BS7671.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate CMMS documentation of maintenance work and inspections.
• Collaborate with production/engineering to deliver process improvements.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover for shift maintenance.
• Adhere to safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, site H&S).
