Job summary

TechNichols Resourcing Ltd represents a global heavy plant manufacturer seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician for a 4 on 4 off night shift at their site. You will focus on electrical maintenance of conveyors, robotics, and heavy equipment, carry out reactive repairs and Planned Preventative Maintenance, and contribute to improvement projects.

The role involves PLCs and VSD drives, fault finding, and a strong commitment to Health & Safety; progression and training

Qualifications

Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3 or above.
Experience in reactive & PPM electrical maintenance in an industrial/heavy manufacturing environment.
Experience of PLC fault finding; PLC programming experience and VSD drives is beneficial.
Siemens PLC experience highly desirable.
Able to diagnose and repair electrical motors and pneumatics.
Willing to learn and share knowledge with the team; proactive.
Strict adherence to Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

Support heavy equipment and machinery including conveyors, robotics.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and participate in projects/continuous improvement.
Provide reactive maintenance and quickly restore production lines.
Deal with VSD drives and PLCs.
