Job summary

TechNichols Resourcing Ltd is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician for a global heavy plant manufacturer. The role offers 4 on 4 off days and involves maintaining conveyors, robotics, and heavy equipment, with reactive and planned maintenance tasks.

You will develop skills in PLC fault finding and programming, VSD drives, and Siemens PLCs, with opportunities to learn FANUC robotics while working in a safety‑conscious team environment.

Qualifications

• Complete recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3+ qualifications.
• Experience performing reactive & PPM Electrical maintenance in industrial/heavy manufacturing.
• PLC fault finding experience; PLC programming useful.
• Siemens PLC experience highly desirable.
• Diagnose and repair electrical motors and pneumatics.
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge within the team.
• Strong health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery including conveyors, mixing and robotics machinery.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and project/continuous improvement work.
• Provide reactive maintenance and quickly resolve breakdowns to keep production running.
• Deal with VSD drives and PLCs.
