Job Description

Job Title: Night Shift Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias

Location: Stafford

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00; Friday, 18:00 - 00:00

Role Purpose

Completion of planned and reactive maintenance tasks on building and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out on all buildings, plant, and production equipment.
2. Work as part of a team of 2 on night shift.
3. Ability to carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical equipment.
4. Ensure adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
5. Develop good working relationships with all staff and clients.
6. Ensure logbooks, shift handovers, and client reports are updated regularly and accurately.
7. Be flexible to work overtime when required.
8. Identify and report potential hazards.

Person Specification/Requirements

• Good written and spoken English, Mathematics, and IT skills.
• Full UK driving license.
• Experience in multi-skilled disciplines (e.g., Mechanical, fabric, water hygiene, painting, carpentry) is desirable.
• Comprehensive electrical experience, including reactive and planned preventative maintenance; experience with cranes and working at height is essential.
• Understanding and experience of health and safety obligations related to maintenance activities.
• Ability to learn and develop technical knowledge and understanding of organizational systems and processes.
• Excellent fault-finding skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Calm demeanor, able to work under pressure.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Desirable but not essential: Formal H&S training, Legionella Awareness, IPAF certification.
