Job Title: Night Shift Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias
Location: Stafford
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00; Friday, 18:00 - 00:00
Role Purpose
Completion of planned and reactive maintenance tasks on building and production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out on all buildings, plant, and production equipment.
- Work as part of a team of 2 on night shift.
- Ability to carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical equipment.
- Ensure adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
- Develop good working relationships with all staff and clients.
- Ensure logbooks, shift handovers, and client reports are updated regularly and accurately.
- Be flexible to work overtime when required.
- Identify and report potential hazards.
Person Specification/Requirements
- Good written and spoken English, Mathematics, and IT skills.
- Full UK driving license.
- Experience in multi-skilled disciplines (e.g., Mechanical, fabric, water hygiene, painting, carpentry) is desirable.
- Comprehensive electrical experience, including reactive and planned preventative maintenance; experience with cranes and working at height is essential.
- Understanding and experience of health and safety obligations related to maintenance activities.
- Ability to learn and develop technical knowledge and understanding of organizational systems and processes.
- Excellent fault-finding skills.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Calm demeanor, able to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Desirable but not essential: Formal H&S training, Legionella Awareness, IPAF certification.
