Job summary

MorePeople is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a busy manufacturing site in Bedford/Cardington. The role is electrically biased with a mix of mechanical tasks, offering 40 hours per week plus overtime.

You’ll maintain production equipment and ensure safe, efficient operation in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has strong electrical skills, UK engineering experience, and the ability to work hands-on with robust fault-finding capabilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an industrial/manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Strong electrical maintenance skills.
• Ideally multi-skilled, with some mechanical capability.
• 18th Edition qualification preferred.
• Candidates without formal qualifications may be considered where they have significant relevant electrical experience (QBE).
• UK engineering experience.
• A practical, hands-on approach to fault finding and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day maintenance of production equipment.
• Help keep machinery running safely and efficiently.
• Work with site engineers to learn equipment and processes.
