Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) for a Northampton site. The role offers up to £50,000 plus overtime and benefits in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems, and support continuous improvements while helping maintain safe and reliable production equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with control panels, sensors, inverters and three-phase electrics.
• Mechanical maintenance experience including bearings, gearboxes, pumps and valves.
• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Maintaining automated production and packaging equipment.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Ensuring machinery operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
• Assisting with equipment upgrades and installations where required.
