Job summary

Electrical Maintenance Engineer role in Milnrow at a leading food manufacturing site. You will maintain automated production equipment, perform fault-finding and breakdown repairs, and carry out planned maintenance to maximise uptime and efficiency.

The position requires hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, an electrical qualification (NVQ3/HNC or equivalent), and a proactive safety mindset. Desirable experience includes CMMS systems and FMCG exposure.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Hands-on maintenance including planned, reactive and breakdown tasks.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience maintaining production machinery in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Ability to identify faults and minimise downtime.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Proactive health and safety approach.
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
• Apprentice-trained engineering background.
• Experience with automated production and packaging machinery.
• Familiarity with CMMS maintenance systems and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs across automated production equipment.
• Ensure maximum uptime, reliability and efficiency.
• Work in a state-of-the-art, highly automated facility and contribute to site performance.
