The engineer will perform reactive and planned maintenance, quickly address breakdowns, and contribute to continuous improvements while ensuring safety and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and mechanical background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent fault-finding skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
• NVQ, BTEC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; apprenticeship desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance in a fast-paced environment.
• Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns to minimise production disruption.
• Provide hands-on repairs on conveyors, packing equipment and related systems.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify improvements.
• Perform routine safety checks and report hazards.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and parts usage.
