Job summary

Nobia Morley site is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing team. Based in Morley, you’ll work 39 hours with 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shifts, handling preventative maintenance and breakdown responses.

You’ll lead on-site contractor coordination, uphold HSE standards, and contribute to reliability improvements; NVQ3 in electrical engineering and strong fault-finding skills required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, both planned/preventative and breakdown response.
• Strong understanding of sound engineering practices.
• Fault finding and problem solving in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
• IT literate with CMMS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage outstanding and upcoming machine maintenance tasks.
• Respond to breakdowns.
• Coordinate and control on-site contractors in line with company processes.
• Ensure HSE KPIs and all relevant legislative requirements are consistently met.
• Attend and actively participate in training to minimise skills gaps.
• Support the maintenance strategy to improve reliability and up-time, driving towards world-class standards.
• Analyse major breakdowns through comprehensive root cause analysis, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Attend and contribute to team briefings and operational meetings.

Reports to: Shift Leader

Location: Morley

Hours: 39

Salary: £40,774.73 - £45,871.57 (12.5% shift allowance)

Please note - we operate a weekly rolling shift pattern, 6am - 2pm (early) and 2pm - 10:00pm (late).

What You’ll Be Doing

Who We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline as a minimum
• Time served in an electrical maintenance role, with experience carrying out both planned/preventative maintenance as well as being able to respond to breakdowns
• Strong understanding of sound engineering practices
• Proven ability in fault find and problem solve within a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Experience of continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles
• IT literate, with working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
