Job summary

ADR Specialists Ltd in Liverpool is representing a fast-paced food manufacturing business undergoing substantial investment, expanding production lines and processes. We are seeking an electrically biased maintenance engineer to join a large site engineering team on day shifts.

The role offers a £55.3k package, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and clear progression opportunities within a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Time served engineer with electrical bias and experience in fast-paced environments.
• Recognised engineering qualification such as HNC/HND/ONC/OND.
• Experience in automation and PLC tasks within manufacturing.
• Able to work in challenging settings with mechanical competency.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs to process equipment and plant machinery with an electrical focus.
• Troubleshoot and fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Carry out planned inspection routes and proactive maintenance.
• Collaborate with Site Engineering Manager, production staff and technicians.
• Follow site H&S procedures and report risks promptly.

Person Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

• Time served engineer, preferably from the Food/FMCG Industry
• Recognised Engineering qualification e.g. HNC/HND/ONC/OND
• Accustomed to fast paced and challenging working environments
• Electrically biased engineer with mechanical engineering competency

Job Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

Working predominantly as the electrical maintenance engineer within a large team, you will ideally have experience of fast paced manufacturing environments with an electrical bias, with sound working knowledge automation and PLC tasks.

• Work in partnership with the Site Engineering Manager, production staff and technicians to carry out repairs to process equipment and plant machinery.
• Electrically biased but mechanically capable.
• Working within a challenging environment, getting stuck in and involved in 'dirty' tasks.
• Troubleshooting and practical fault finding on plant and mechanical/electrical machinery.
• Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance schedules.
• Following site H&S procedures and reporting any risks via the internal reporting process.
