Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is partnering with a well-established facilities maintenance company to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for London and the Home Counties.

The role is based from their South-East London offices and covers servicing electrical and fire/safety systems across commercial properties. You will test emergency lighting and fire alarms, perform general electrical maintenance and remedial works, and assist with installations where required.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance background as Electrician or Electrical Improver
• 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 and 2391 Inspection and Testing desirable

Responsibilities

• Completing tests on emergency lighting, fire alarms and associated life safety systems
• Completing general electrical maintenance and remedial works
• Assisting with electrical and mechanical installations where required
• Working within a range of commercial and mixed-use properties, mostly across South East London, East London and parts of Kent/Essex
• Working on a 1 in 8 week on call rota

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

We currently have an opportunity available to join a well-established facilities maintenance company who specialise in servicing, maintaining and refurbishing electrical and fire/smoke safety systems across London and the surrounding areas, based from their offices in South-East London.

Job Overview

• Completing tests on emergency lighting, fire alarms and associated life safety systems
• Completing general electrical maintenance and remedial works
• Assisting with electrical and mechanical installations where required
• Working within a range of commercial and mixed-use properties, mostly across South East London, East London and parts of Kent/Essex
• Working on a 1 in 8 week on call rota

Job Requirements

• Electrical maintenance background, either as a fully qualified Electrician or as an Electrical Improver
• Hold 18th Edition, with additional qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 and 2391 Inspection and Testing highly desirable
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Based within a commutable distance of Erith, Kent, and comfortable travelling across London

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
• Basic salary £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
• Company van provided
• 33 days holiday, including bank holidays
• Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
• 1 in 8 week on call rota (£150 standby payment)
