Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for roles around Erith, London and the Home Counties. You will service emergency lighting, fire alarms and life-safety systems across commercial properties.

The role covers general electrical maintenance, remedial works and assisting with installations, with a Monday-to-Friday 8am–5pm schedule and a 1 in 8 on-call rota. A company van is provided along with 33 days of holiday.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance background including servicing life-safety systems.
• Experience with emergency lighting and fire alarm testing is required or highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and Home Counties.

Responsibilities

• Complete tests on emergency lighting, fire alarms and life-safety systems.
• Perform general electrical maintenance and remedial works.
• Assist with electrical and mechanical installations as needed.
• Work across commercial/mixed-use properties in South East London, East London, Kent and Essex.
• Participate in a 1 in 8 week on-call rota.

Position: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: London & Home Counties

We currently have an opportunity available to join a well-established facilities maintenance company who specialise in servicing, maintaining and refurbishing electrical and fire/smoke safety systems across London and the surrounding areas, based from their offices in South-East London.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Overview

• Completing tests on emergency lighting, fire alarms and associated life safety systems
• Completing general electrical maintenance and remedial works
• Assisting with electrical and mechanical installations where required
• Working within a range of commercial and mixed-use properties, mostly across South East London, East London and parts of Kent/Essex
• Working on a 1 in 8 week on call rota

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Requirements

• Electrical maintenance background, either as a fully qualified Electrician or as an Electrical Improver
• Hold 18 th Edition, with additional qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 and 2391 Inspection and Testing highly desirable
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Based within a commutable distance of Erith, Kent, and comfortable travelling across London

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
• 33 days holiday, including bank holidays
• Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
• 1 in 8 week on call rota (£150 standby payment)
