Job summary

ECG Facilities Services is seeking a qualified Maintenance Engineer to deliver M&E maintenance across commercial, retail and industrial sites in the UK. You will perform PPMs, reactive repairs and site inspections, using ECG’s CAFM system to document tasks and maintain compliance with safety standards.

You will engage with internal teams, manage subcontractors, and uphold the client’s brand through professional service and accurate reporting, applying 18th Edition and AM2 credentials where

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Engineering (or approved equivalent).
• AM2 assessment completed.
• 18th Edition Accreditation is a minimum requirement.
• Testing & Inspection 2391-52 Certification would be beneficial to role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine PPM visits and reactive repairs to electrical services assets (internal, external, emergency lighting, distribution boards) and take meter readings.
• Carry out weekly sprinkler system bell testing and daily/weekly inspections of Plant Rooms, Switchrooms & Car Parks.
• Conduct plant room status and cleanliness checks.
• Accompany sub-contractors around site for PPM/reactive works as instructed.
• Operate a tablet with ECG’s CAFM system to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
• Develop positive relationships with stakeholders to protect the client’s brand and reputation.
• Collaborate with Operations Director, Technical Services Manager, Compliance Team and Security Team.
• Demonstrate experience operating in the private FM sector and solid understanding of SFG20 specifications.
• Be a self-starter who can work on own initiative while also being a conscientious team player.
• Communicate effectively with strong verbal, written, and numeric skills.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Operations Director, Technical Services Manager, Compliance Team & Security Team.
• Experience operating in the private FM sector.
• Solid understanding of SFG20 service specification.
