Job summary

ECG Facilities Services in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a mobile team covering the Glasgow area. You will maintain electrical and HVAC plant, carry out lighting rewires, testing, and on-site servicing in a client‑facing role.

Salary up to £42k per annum, 40 hours per week, with a company vehicle, 25 days holiday, on-call allowance and continuous support. Candidates should have an approved electrical apprenticeship, 18th Edition, AM2 or SVQ3, and Testing & Inspection

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC maintenance.
• Experience in a facilities maintenance environment.
• Experience with electrical plant incl. AHUs, pumps and boilers.
• Familiarity with BMS control systems and testing certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical systems and HVAC plant on site.
• Perform lighting rewires and electrical testing.
• Complete permits and site paperwork.
• Work as part of a mobile team covering Glasgow area.
• Ensure health and safety compliance on all jobs.

General Electrical andHVAC plant maintenance

Maintenance / repairs / replacements of lighting / rewires /electrical testing and all general electrical duties and including all other duties including mechanical & plumbing on site.

Health and safety awareness.

To maintain on site log books, permits & site paperwork insuring they are completed and up to date.

The Electrical Engineer will be working as part of a mobile team, our client is looking for someone who is flexible, works well as part of a team and is client focussed.

This post will be based on a Mobile role, covering Predominantly the Glasgow area.

The callout rota is on a rotating cycle (roughly 1 in 14 weeks).

Skills & Qualifications Required

We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of electrical systems and experience in similar Electrical /HVAC/ Maintenance Engineer type role.

Ideal candidates will come from a Facilities Maintenance background and worked in similar environment.

Knowledge and experience of all electrical plant including, but not limited to Air Handling Units and their associated controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipe work and accessories)

Knowledge and experience of BMS control systems.

Knowledge and experience of all electrical installations, including wiring, testing, issuing written electrical test certification

Qualifications

Approved Electrical Apprenticeship is a minimum requirement.

Passed AM2 (English qualification) or SVQ level 3 Electrical qualification with a final trade test being completed.

Approved Electrician with 18th Edition Accreditation is a minimum requirement.

Testing & Inspection 2391-52 Certification would be beneficial to role.
