Job summary

ECG Facilities Services, Edinburgh, seeks a skilled facilities maintenance professional to perform routine PPM visits and reactive electrical repairs across retail and leisure environments. You will work with a CAFM system on a tablet, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and accurately.

The role requires knowledge of SFG20 standards, strong communication skills, and a proactive, flexible approach to meet the demands of a world-class destination.

Responsibilities

• Routine PPM visits and reactive repairs to electrical services assets and taking meter readings.
• Weekly sprinkler system bell testing and daily/weekly inspections of plant rooms and switchrooms.
• Plant room status and cleanliness checks.
• Accompany sub-contractors around site for PPM/re­active works as directed.
• Operate a tablet with ECG CAFM system to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Develop positive relationships with stakeholders to protect the client's brand.
• Collaborate with Operations Director, Technical Services Manager and Compliance/Security teams.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Routine PPM visits and reactive repairs (when required) to electrical services assets (Internal, External and Emergency Lighting, Distribution Boards) and carrying out meter readings etc.

Weekly sprinkler system bell testing. Daily / Weekly inspections of Plant Rooms, Switchrooms, Roof Areas and Car Parks.

Plant room status and cleanliness checks.

Accompanying sub-contractors around site for PPM/reactive works, when instructed to do so.

Operate a tablet device in conjunction with ECG’s CAFM system ensuring all PPM and reactive tasks are completed timeously.

Develop positive working relationships with all stakeholders to enhance the professional reputation of ECG, whilst protecting the clients brand.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Operations Director, Technical Services Manager, Compliance Team and Security Team.

Knowledge and Understanding

Experience operating in the private FM sector.

Solid understanding of SFG20 service specification.

Self-starter, able to work on own initiative as a conscientious team player.

Organised communicator with strong inter-personal skills.

High level of verbal, written and numeric skills.
