Job summary

Futures in Kirklees is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with at least five years' experience in an automated manufacturing environment. You will work shifts covering days and nights, report to the Chief Engineer, and help keep production lines running at peak performance.

You will perform proactive and reactive maintenance, carry out fault finding, maintain PPM schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement while keeping precise records of work, spares used, and root causes of

• Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Daily plant inspections and monitoring plant performance.
• Facilitate speedy response to plant stoppages; plan/implement modifications.
• Fault finding and repairs on equipment and plant.
• Maintain PPM schedules in line with current requirements.
• Identify methods and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Accurately record work carried out, root causes of failures and spares/consumables used.

Job description

Do you have at least five years' experience as an electrically qualified maintenance engineer?

Are you happy working shifts that cover days and nights?

This could be for you! Reporting into the Chief Engineer you will take responsibility for both proactive and reactive maintenance duties within this largely automated production environment. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will share responsibility for achieving budgeted machine performance targets and ensuring the machines are kept running to peak performance within the manufacturing unit.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Key responsibilities

• Daily plant inspections, monitoring plant performance


• You will need to facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment


• Carrying out fault finding diagnosis/repairs on equipment and plant


• You will have to ensure the PPM schedules are maintained in accordance with the current requirements


• Continuous Improvement - identify new methods and procedures


• Ensure accurate & timely records are entered / recorded of all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares / consumables used

Successful Electrical Maintenance Engineers will be; Previous experience of working within an automated manufacturing environment Time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an Electrical Engineering HND / HNC / BTEC / ONC / C&G Level 3 qualifications or higher Excellent communication skills Working well under pressure
