Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a busy industrial manufacturing site in Huddersfield. The role focuses on maintaining and improving electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities include installation, wiring, panels, and control systems, with standby for breakdowns. The candidate should have experience in manufacturing environments and knowledge of PLC controls; PID controls are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Experience with machine and plant maintenance and breakdowns.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of general engineering principles.
• Installation and wiring experience.
• Panels & control systems experience.
• Familiar with PLC controls and programming.
• Knowledge of PID temperature controls is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, wiring, and servicing tasks.
• Perform facilities maintenance and general electrical upkeep.
• Maintain plant and machinery for reliability.
• Troubleshoot panels and control systems.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform repairs promptly.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will focus on maintaining and improving the performance of electrical systems and equipment in a busy industrial manufacturing setting.

Our client are with a global specialist Engineering Manufacturer based in Huddersfield.

• Facilities maintenance

• Breakdowns and repairs

Profile

The successful candidate will have;

• Experience working within a similar role
• Experience working with machine and plant maintenance and breakdowns
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• A good understanding of general engineering principles
• Installation and Wiring Experience
• Panels & control Systems Experience
• Familiar with PLC controls and programming
• Knowledge of PID temperature controls - desirable

Job Offer

Salary is up to £40,000 plus a 10% shift allowance for afternoons

Rotating shifts: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm Monday to Thursday, with early finish on Friday's

28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Enhanced parental leave benefits, including 16 weeks paternity leave and 6 months maternity pay.

Pension 3.2% employee and 8% employer (you can increase this to 4% employee and 10% employer)
