Resourcing Group is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician for a global heavy plant manufacturer. The role is based in the Goole area with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days/2 nights) and a salary of £49,000–£55,000 plus overtime.

You will maintain heavy equipment, perform reactive and PPM tasks, and contribute to improvements. PLC/VSD experience is valued, with Siemens PLCs particularly desirable. Training and skill development are available.

Qualifications

• Completed recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3+ qualification.
• Experience in reactive & PPM electrical maintenance in industrial/heavy manufacturing environments.
• PLC fault finding; PLC programming; VSD drives beneficial; Siemens PLC highly desirable.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical motors and pneumatics.
• Willing to learn, share knowledge with the team; proactive and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical systems in the factory, including conveyors, mixing, and robotics machinery.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and support continuous improvement projects.
• Provide reactive maintenance to resolve breakdowns and restore production lines quickly.
• Work with VSD drives and PLCs to diagnose and fix issues.

Salary: £49,000 - £55,000 per annum, (dependant on experience) plus overtime

Hours: 4 on 4 off 2 Days followed by 2 Nights

Location: Brough - Commutable from Howden, Hull, Selby, Goole, Doncaster, Brough, York, Market Weighton, Driffield, Knottingley and surrounding areas

The site prides themselves on being self-sufficient, not relying on outside contractors for most projects, so the maintenance teams get fully involved in most of the full Lifecyle of work. They also provide training and up-skilling where required ie. FANUC Robotics and programming or PLCs - both fault finding and programming, although ideally you will have some of these advanced skills already.

This is a Shift based role - 4 on 4 off - 2 Days and 2 Nights and would ideally suit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician with a background in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment - the ability to work effectively within a skilled team is essential!

Responsibilities

Your role will be to focus on Electrical Maintenance and Engineering work in the factory, including:

• Supporting a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery including conveyors, mixing and robotics machinery.
• Working through a planned preventative maintenance program as well as project and continuous improvement work.
• Providing reactive maintenance, attending to and resolving breakdowns swiftly and getting production lines back up and running again.
• Dealing with VSD Drives and PLCs.

Requirements

• The Engineer will need to have completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Electrical Engineering qualifications at Level 3 or above.
• Are experienced in performing reactive & PPM Electrical maintenance work within an industrial and/or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Will have experience of PLC Fault Finding, PLC programming skills are useful, additionally experience with VSD Drives is beneficial.
• Siemens PLC experience extremely desirable
• Can diagnose and repair Electrical Motors and Pneumatics.
• Are open to & willing to learn and develop your skills further, together with sharing your knowledge and experience with the team.
• A friendly, proactive and adaptable attitude to work is essential.
• Good knowledge of and strict adherence to Health & Safety.
