Job summary

Staffline in the Crewe area is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing site. You will fault find, diagnose and repair production machinery, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to keep lines running and safe.

The role operates on a continental shift pattern (4 on / 4 off) with a £55,100 base salary plus premium overtime and benefits including a company pension, healthcare, life cover and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

The Role - Electrical Maintenance Engineer

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will support production by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities across a varied manufacturing plant.

You will diagnose faults, minimise downtime and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Role Duties include Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical fault finding and repairs on production machinery
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
• Working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Assisting with equipment upgrades and reliability improvements

Role Requirements - Electrical Maintenance Engineer

You may hold:

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering
• City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications
• ONC/HNC/HND Engineering preferred
• 18th Edition preferred

• PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
