Job summary

Travail Employment Group are assisting a Corby-based manufacturer to recruit a hands-on Multi-Skilled Electrical Maintenance Fitter. The post is permanent, full-time, and starts at the beginning of September within a small but busy engineering team.

The role focuses on electrical bias with strong mechanical fault-finding skills to maintain production machinery and site equipment, diagnose faults, and carry out preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

NVQ, C & G or recognised apprenticeship in Engineering or electrical maintenance
18th edition would be desirable but not essential
PC fault finding would be advantageous
Previously worked within a maintenance engineer or maintenance fitter role
Electrically biased with strong mechanical fault finding skills
Experience within a manufacturing, industrial or heavy engineering environment
Be familiar with electrical drawings and schematics
Capable of working both independently or as a team
Someone who can demonstrate longevity within their work history

Responsibilities

To carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site equipment
Respond quickly to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirements
Diagnose and fault find on both electrical and mechanical systems
Maintain and repair motors, drives, conveyors, rollers, hydraulics, pneumatics and sensors
Work on 3-phase systems and electrical panels
Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and improvements
Schedule PPM work weekly
Ensure all maintenance is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Accurately complete all maintenance records and documentation

We have a very rare opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Maintenance fitter to join our client based in Corby. This role is due to retirement with the position starting at the beginning of September. Our client are part of a global company who are a well established manufacturing and industrial business.
