Job summary

CV Technical is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Wellingborough. The role offers a salary of £40,000–£45,000 and a day shift pattern, with opportunities for overtime and career progression.

Based in a fast-paced environment, you will perform PPMs, troubleshoot electrical issues, and support continuous improvement while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or qualified Electrical Engineer.
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site machinery.
• Responding to electrical breakdowns and fault finding efficiently.
• Working on a range of production and automated equipment.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures.
• Assisting with mechanical maintenance when required.

Requirements:

• Apprentice trained or qualified Electrical Engineer
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or industrial environments
• Strong electrical fault-finding abilities
• Experience with motors, sensors, conveyors, inverters, PLCs or automation equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
