Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property in Central London is seeking an experienced, fully qualified electrical maintenance engineer for a Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm role. Salary is £47,000 with plenty of overtime and a path for progression and further training.

You will deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance across distribution boards, lighting controls, emergency lighting, and fire systems, monitor AHUs/FCUs, and use the BMS to optimise energy efficiency while overseeing external

• Fully qualified electrical maintenance engineer with Level 3 installations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance across distribution boards, lighting controls, emergency lighting, and fire systems.
• Maintain mechanical systems including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, chillers, boilers, pressurisation units, and water treatment equipment.
• Assist in routine testing of critical backups such as UPS units and diesel generators.
• Diagnose faults to minimise downtime
• Use the BMS to track plant performance and optimise energy efficiency.
• Oversee external M&E contractors ensuring RAMS and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance across, distribution boards, lighting controls, emergency lighting, and fire systems.
• Maintain and monitor mechanical systems, including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, chillers, boilers, pressurisation units, and water treatment equipment.
• Assist in the routine testing of critical backup systems, including UPS units, standby diesel generators, and ATS panels.
• Rapidly diagnose mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime across the building.
• Use the Building Management System (BMS) to track plant performance, troubleshoot tenant temperature requests, and optimise energy efficiency.
• Oversee specialist M&E contractors (HVAC, chiller, elevator, HV specialists), ensuring strict adherence to RAMS and safety standards.
