Job description
Overview

Stafforce Carlisle are assisting a long-standing client in their search for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis at their factory just outside of Carlisle. The business is a market-leader in its field, and are seeking an individual with experience in a similar environment who can hit the ground running. Due to the rural location of this site, successful candidates will have their own means of transport to access the site across shift times.

Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance of busy manufacturing processes, including general maintenance and asset care programmes.
  • Work proactively as part of a skilled team whilst maintaining good housekeeping and adherence to good manufacturing practice in line with site policy.
  • Carry out all work using Safe Systems of Work and in line with the business\' Zero Harm policy.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified to BS 7671 IEE 18th Edition.
  • Experience in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing and industrial processes.
  • COMPEX qualification (Desirable but not essential).
  • Strong IT skills (oral, written and numeracy).
  • Good understanding of workplace safety systems, safety disciplines and safety controls.
  • Excellent knowledge of preventative safety measures, including SSOW/Lock Out Tag Out, and a solid understanding of Health, Safety & Environment principles and policies.
  • Core electrical competences with complex Electrical Control Systems including PLC automation controls, servo & variable speed drives.
  • Understanding of electrical installation and testing.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, fault find and provide corrective diagnosis.
  • Good underpinning knowledge of machinery processes including modern process drives and process technology.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and corrective diagnosis.
