Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is working on behalf of a global manufacturer to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) for its Hull site. You will provide planned and reactive maintenance across automated production equipment, helping to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

This role requires strong electrical fault-finding skills, reading engineering drawings and working with PLCs, drives and sensors. 4 on, 4 off shift pattern applies.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Maintenance experience within manufacturing or processing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with drives, inverters, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Reading and amending engineering drawings.
• Proactive maintenance and reliability mindset.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to work the 4-on, 4-off pattern.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Respond quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment, drives, inverters, motors and sensors.
• Improve machine availability and overall equipment performance.
• Record maintenance activity using CMMS and TPM systems.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements.
• Support engineering projects and continuous improvement activity.
• Work closely with production, quality and operational teams.
• Contribute to risk assessments and safety documentation.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety and environmental standards.
• Support and share knowledge with colleagues.

Salary: £47,916.56 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off - 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off
