Position Overview

You will provide hands-on electrical and PLC technical support within the Maintenance Team, working on electrical installations, fault finding, and repair of PLC-controlled machinery in a manufacturing environment. Skills in PLC fault finding, modifications, installing servo drives, HMI, and Profibus are essential. Siemens S7 training is available.

The role involves working on a variety of machinery, supporting production targets, and participating in projects (project work approximately 60-70%). Opportunities for involvement in electrical maintenance operations and projects are supported by training programs.

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Recognized Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent UK Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City and Guilds, BTEC 3, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering)
• PLC fault finding experience is essential
• Experience with installing servo drives, HMI, Profibus, and capex improvements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, undertaking PPM and TPM activities
• High health and safety awareness
• Ability to fault find, repair, and solve electrical machinery problems
