Job summary

Staffline is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a fast-paced manufacturing environment in South Yorkshire. This temporary, week‑to‑week contract covers planned and responsive maintenance on process and production machinery, with a strong emphasis on electrical and mechanical skills.

The role requires a Level 3 NVQ Diploma (or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical engineering and PLC/automation experience.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent manufacturing background.
• Must be able to solve problems and understand PLC / automation.
• Hands-on maintenance experience across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Contribute to development, manufacture, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Service, adjust and repair process and production machinery safely.
• Inspect machinery and report on condition, performance, and improvement plans.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules.
• Flexibility to support overtime when required.

Job Title: Electrical Maintenanace Engineer - temporary contract

Location: South Yorkshire A1 M18 access - Doncaster, Thorne, Worksop, Goole, Rotherham, Pontefract commute areas etc

Pay Range: £40 - £43 per hour open to experience and expectations

Contract Type: Contract week to week cover

Working Patterns: Monday to friday rotating 8 hours

Key Responsibilities - Contract Electrical Maintenanace Engineer

• To service adjust and repair process and production machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner
• To examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance, and plan of action for improvements
• Carry out Planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules
• There is a potential of overtime and again flexibility will be required to support this when needed

Qualifications & Requirements - Contract Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or mechanical engineering or similar manufacturing
• Or equivalent of any of the above in electrical or mechanical fields preferably with a manufacturing background

• A competent electrical engineering professional with technical experience. Must be able to solve problems, PLC / automation experience ideally produce safe systems of work
• Should be capable of contributing to the development, manufacture, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of products, equipment, process or service
• This is an all-round hands-on maintenance electrical role ias well as conveyors and processing
• Machine Tool maintenance background preferred
• Extensive planned maintenance tasks and organisation of the engineering plant is also essential.
