Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the site on a 3‑month rolling contract. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off rota with days and nights and is paid outside IR35 at £35 per hour.

The engineer will perform reactive and preventative maintenance across a range of equipment, including PLC fault-finding (Siemens S5/S7), sensors, relays, and motors.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• NVQ LVL 3 or apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
• Able to fault find and repair a wide range of electrical components.
• Experience with Siemens S5/S7 PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance including fault finding and component replacement.
• Preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Electrical fault finding on PLCs, sensors, relays and motor circuits.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will involve the following.

• Reactive maintenance will include fault finding and replacing components on a variety of machines.
• Preventative maintenance
• Electrical responsibilities will include fault finding on PLCs and a variety of electrical components such as sensors, relays, proximities, control panels, single phase, three phase, AC and DC motors and contactors

The Maintenance Engineer must possess the following skills and experience.

• Previous Electrical experience within an Industrial environment - this could be Manufacturing, or FMCG.
• NVQ LVL 3 or Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering is a must
• Able to fault find and repair a wide range electrical component
• Experience with working PLCs (Siemens S5 and S7)
