Job summary

Omega Resource Group seeks an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a temporary contract in South Yorkshire. You will service and repair production machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and report on machine condition and improvement plans. Overtime flexibility is required to support peak demand.

Experience with PLC/automation and conveyors is advantageous; Level 3 NVQ in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred. This role is payable on an hourly basis under PAYE umbrella terms.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or mechanical engineering or similar manufacturing background.
• Competent electrical engineering professional with problem solving and PLC/automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Service, adjust and repair process and production machinery safely.
• Examine machinery and report on condition, performance and improvement plans.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to schedules.

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer - temporary contract

Location: South Yorkshire A1 M18 access - Doncaster, Thorne, Worksop, Goole, Rotherham, Pontefract commute areas etc

Pay Range: £40 - £43 per hour (open to experience and expectations)

Contract Type: Contract week to week cover

Working Patterns: Monday to Friday rotating 8 hours

We are recruiting for a fast-paced manufacturer, attracting an Electrical bias / Mechanical competent multi-skilled shift engineer.

Key Responsibilities - Contract Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• To service, adjust and repair process and production machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner
• To examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance, and plan of action for improvements
• Carry out Planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules
• Potential for overtime and flexibility required to support this when needed

Qualifications & Requirements - Contract Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or mechanical engineering or similar manufacturing; or equivalent of any of the above in electrical or mechanical fields preferably with a manufacturing background
• Competent electrical engineering professional with technical experience, able to solve problems, PLC/automation experience ideally produce safe systems of work
• Capable of contributing to the development, manufacture, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of products, equipment, process or service
• All-round hands‑on maintenance electrical role, includes conveyors and processing
• Machine Tool maintenance background preferred
• Extensive planned maintenance tasks and organisation of the engineering plant also essential

Candidates who are currently a Contract Electrical Engineer, Contract Electrical Shift Engineer, Contract Multi Skilled Shift Engineer, Electrical Maintenance, Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, machine tool maintenance, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Processes Engineer, Fitter, Plant Engineer, Electrician and Electrical Engineer and any equivalent background will be suitable for the role.
