Job summary

Skillframe Ltd in Kingston seeks an Electrical Supervisor / Lead Electrician to lead a small team on activation installations and 240V systems. The role covers safe site practice, workload planning, and direct collaboration with technical design teams.

You will perform fault-finding, read schematics, and ensure quality delivery across UK and international sites. NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and a full UK driving licence are required for hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
• Experience with 240V mains installations.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience leading a small electrical team.
• Experience in shopfitting, exhibition builds, live events or display production.
• Electrical fault-finding expertise.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team of electrical technicians and installers.
• Allocate workload and resources across multiple projects.
• Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitor productivity, quality standards, and project deadlines.
• Support recruitment, training and performance development of team members.
• Build, wire, test, and Commission activation installations and display systems.
• Install and maintain 240V electrical systems (temporary and permanent).
• Assemble and test low-voltage systems (LED lighting, DMX controls, power supplies).
• Perform fault finding and diagnostics during production and on-site installations (PAT testing).
• Produce safe cable routing solutions and support workshop/ site installations in the UK and internationally.
