Job summary

Adecco is recruiting an Electrical Installer (Automotive) to join our established team. You will handle electrical wiring, cabling and installation work across bespoke vehicle electrical systems, ensuring quality and safety in every job.

You will read wiring diagrams, use hand and power tools, and perform fault finding and testing. The role offers hands-on responsibility with training provided and opportunities for overtime when projects extend beyond standard hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical installation or similar hands-on electrical role.
• Able to read wiring diagrams, drawings or technical instructions.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Installing and routing electrical wiring, cable looms and related equipment.
• Crimping, terminating and connecting wiring and electrical components.
• Installing and wiring lighting systems including headlights and beacons.
• Installing CCTV cameras and other electrical/operating equipment.
• Following wiring diagrams and technical specs to complete installations.
• Testing systems and carrying out fault finding and repairs.
• Using hand and power tools to complete installations.
• Removing and refitting vehicle trim and panels as required.
• Collaborating with the team to meet project timelines.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.

Electrical Installer (Automotive)

Are you an experienced Electrical Installer looking for your next opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and enthusiastic Electrical Installer to join an established company specialising in bespoke vehicle electrical installations and equipment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with electrical installation experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.

Salary

£28,000 - £31,000 per hour, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

• Installing and routing electrical wiring, cable looms and associated equipment.
• Crimping, terminating and connecting wiring and electrical components.
• Installing and wiring lighting systems, including headlights, beacons, lightbars and auxiliary lighting.
• Installing CCTV cameras and other electrical/operating equipment.
• Following wiring diagrams, drawings and technical specifications to complete installations.
• Testing systems and carrying out electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Using hand and power tools to complete installations.
• Removing and refitting vehicle trim and panels as required.
• Working with the team to ensure projects are completed within agreed timescales.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in electrical installation or a similar hands-on electrical role.
• Good understanding of electrical wiring, connections and components.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Able to read and follow wiring diagrams, drawings or technical instructions.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, professional and positive approach to work.Automotive experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

Working hours

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm

Friday: 7:30am - 2:00pm
