Job summary

Barnsley College is seeking an Electrical Installations Trainer to join the Engineering department, delivering high-quality theory and practical learning for apprentices at College and in the workplace.

You will manage a caseload of learners, monitor progress, and conduct workplace assessments to prepare them for their end-point assessment, while developing learning materials aligned to apprenticeship Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours.

Qualifications

• Must have strong electrical installation experience across domestic and industrial settings.
• Willingness to work towards Assessor and teaching qualifications as needed.
• Experience delivering theory and practical learning to apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging theoretical and practical learning to apprentices.
• Manage a caseload of apprentices and monitor progress.
• Carry out workplace assessments and support end-point assessment preparation.
• Develop learning and assessment materials aligned to apprenticeship Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours.
• Build strong relationships with apprentices and employers to support progress.
• Contribute to quality assurance and ongoing development of apprenticeship provision.
