Job summary

Chesterfield College is seeking an experienced Workbase Tutor to mentor, coach and assess learners undertaking Electrical Installation Apprenticeships. The role involves managing a caseload, conducting workplace visits and ensuring timely completion of all apprenticeship elements.

You will support the learner journey from enrolment through to completion, liaising with employers and internal teams to fulfil Functional Skills requirements and overall outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be an occupationally competent electrician.
• Evidence: electrotechnical NVQ L3 or JIB Approved Electrician status.
• Assessors A1 award (D32/D33) or TAQA 301 and the V1 award (D34) TAQA 401.
• Teaching/Training/Basic Skills qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach and assess students undertaking Electrical Installation Apprenticeships.
• Manage a caseload of learners through the Apprenticeship Standard with workplace visits.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and assessment for successful completion of qualifications.
• Liaise with learner, employer and internal departments to ensure Functional Skills and all apprenticeship elements are completed.
• Support the learner journey from enrolment to progression and employer liaison.
