NVQ Assessor in the West Midlands seeks an Electrical Installation Tutor to develop the next generation of electricians. The ideal candidate is an experienced electrician moving into teaching with a passion for helping others and a positive attitude.
Delivering theoretical and practical sessions for City & Guilds 5357 Apprenticeships, you will assess practical work, plan sessions, and support learners with extra help while liaising with employers at the Birmingham Training Centre.
Electrical Installation Tutor who will use their knowledge to develop the next generation of electricians in the West Midlands.
In an ideal world, you will already be a qualified tutor. However, if you’re an experienced electrician looking to move into a tutoring role and have a passion for helping others achieve and display a positive attitude alongside this, your application will be considered.
Delivering theoretical and practical sessions to Apprentices undertaking City & Guilds 5357 Electrical Apprenticeship.
Previous experience as an Electrical Tutor
Qualified to at least AET (PTLLS) Level
C&G Electrical Installation Level 2 & Level 3 or equivalent.
OR
Served a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
Minimum of 5 years ‘on the tools’.
Relevant industry qualifications.
When uploading this post we noticed a distinct lack of what we would consider required qualifications. To be an Assessor you would need to hold either an; A1/2, D32/33, or CAVA which we have a link to HERE . Similarly so, to be a FE practitioner, in other words, a Trainer, you should hold at a minimum the AET (Level 3 Award in Education and Training). The position does not ask for these so do not feel deterred to apply if you do not possess them. However, it is in our professional opinion you need to have either qualification before applying.
