Job summary

Chelmsford College is hiring Electrical Installations Apprenticeship Specialists to deliver and assess electrical provision for learners, including apprenticeships and full-time study programmes.

You will evaluate learner work in both workshop and workplace settings, ensure End Point Assessments are met, and build strong employer partnerships while maintaining high safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold JIB Approved Electrician status.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment is required.
• AM2 qualification is required.
• Assessor Qualification (A1, D32/33, CAVA or equivalent) desired.
• IQA Qualification or willingness to achieve within a set timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Electrical Installation full-time study programmes and/or Apprenticeships.
• Assess learner competence in workshop and workplace environments.
• Support Apprentices to achieve End Point Assessment and qualification outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with employers and industry partners.
• Contribute to curriculum development, industry engagement and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain accurate learner progress records and meet awarding organisation requirements.
• Act as a role model for professional standards, health and safety, and industry best practice.
