Job summary

The Supply Register on behalf of New College Durham is recruiting an Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver engaging lessons and help learners develop practical skills for careers in the electrical industry at Durham-based college.

The role requires relevant industry experience, a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (or equivalent), and a teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain). DBS checks are required. This is a temporary, full-time post at 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in electrical installation.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Experience in Further Education or apprenticeships (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical Installation lessons across multiple levels.
• Support learners with practical workshop activities and assessments.
• Prepare students for apprenticeships, industry placements and employment.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote safeguarding, health & safety, and professional standards.
