Job summary

NVQ Assessor is seeking a Trainee or Qualified Assessor to deliver full Apprenticeship qualifications in Active Leisure up to Level 3, using blended learning with remote delivery and some face-to-face learning.

The role includes delivering Maths and English Functional Skills (Level 2), managing your diary, organizing learner progress, and supporting and motivating learners while meeting KPI targets for visits and administration.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instruction.
• Level 3 Certificate/Diploma in Personal Training.
• Level 3 Nutrition.
• Confident to deliver Maths and English Functional Skills.
• Must be IT literate.
• Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.

Trainee or Qualified. Full training and support will be given to candidates to achieve the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.

Must be flexible with travel across Lincolnshire, Peterborough and surrounding areas.

Your duties will include the following:

• Delivering full Apprenticeship qualifications in Active Leisure up to Level 3.
• Deliveringvia a blended learning approach(Remote/online delivery and some face-to-face learning).
• Delivering Functional Skills in Maths and English Level 2.
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Must hold strongoccupational competency within Fitness/Active Leisure as a General/Fitness Manager.
• Must have wet-side experience (specifically with experience in pool/water testing)
• Must hold the following qualifications: Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instruction; Level 3 Certificate/Diploma in Personal Training; Level 3 Nutrition.
• Must be confident to deliver Maths and English Functional Skills.
• Must be IT literate.
• Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.

PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE

When uploading this post we noticed a distinct lack of what we would consider required qualifications. To be an Assessor you would need to hold either an; A1/2, D32/33, or CAVA which we have a link to HERE . Similarly so, to be a FE practitioner, in other words, a Trainer, you should hold at a minimum the AET (Level 3 Award in Education and Training). The position does not ask for these so do not feel deterred to apply if you do not possess them. However, it is in our professional opinion you need to have either qualification before applying.
